
Dr. Cris Beiro is a board-certified fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, with an additional subspecialty certification in orthopaedic sports medicine. With a background rooted in service, he served in the United States Navy as a medical corpsman, an experience that shaped his commitment to disciplined, patient-focused care. Today, heserves as an attending physician at several area hospitals, providing comprehensive orthopaedic and sports medicine care. His goal is to put each patient first and provide compassionate care that helps to eliminate pain and restore mobility, function and an active lifestyle.
Dr. Beiro completed his undergraduate degree with a major in molecular biology at CornellUniversity. He then earned his medical degree from Rutgers University–New JerseyMedical School, where he also completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery. During residency, he was named Orthopaedic Administrative Chief Resident and received theDepartment of Orthopaedics Resident Teaching Award in recognition of his leadership and dedication to education.
He later completed a sports medicine fellowship at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, gaining advanced training in minimally invasive techniques, arthroscopy, and the management of complex joint injuries. During this time, he served as assistant team physician for professional and collegiate athletes, including the Baltimore Ravens (NFL)and the Washington Nationals (MLB).
Dr. Beiro’s clinical and research interests include sports-related injuries, arthroscopic surgery, and disorders of the knee. He is a clinical assistant professor at Robert WoodJohnson University Hospital as well as an active member of several orthopaedic organizations, including:
- The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons
- The American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine
- The Arthroscopy Association of North America
- The American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons
Recognized for both clinical excellence and academic achievement, Dr. Beiro has been named to Monmouth County’s Top Doctors list by Monmouth Magazine and to the SelectSurgeons Bone & Joint list.
